Student Education Records

This area represents the data contained within the Student Information System or SIS. Both student education records & instructor identification information is stored in SIS. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Regulations (FERPA -34 CFR Part 99) define an education record: http://www.ed.gov/policy/gen/reg/ferpa/rights_pg4.html#3. Graduate College, Law and Dental - Admissions decisions, Residency
Holds - Library, Parking, Student Health
Adds/Drops students in class - Departments -complicated security profile
Honors College - designates own students
Data entered with Student Accounts authorizing access
Controller's Office - International ODNR screen. Note - problem when RESI screen overlays work. Conducting research and testing to correct.

Catalog and Curriculum
Special Fees List - by Class - approved by Registrar
Build courses based on other information
Add programs and majors - approved by Board of Regents
Add courses, minors and concentrations - approved by curriculum committee
Add departments - approved by Provost
Add section numbers - approved by ?? - in some circumstances sections determine tuition charge
Admissions - Undergraduate application information and decisions.
Evaluators - Residency
SIS Admin - Immunization & Student Athlete holds and removal
Scheduling - upload data from Astra to SIS

Registrar provides user authorization for
