Request for new codes for RTYP in SIS

Desc of Issue: New Codes in the Room Type field in SIS
Description of this data issue:
Jennifer McCarthy has proposed the edits to SIS which are attached in the spreadsheet below.
We would like to expedite our move forward with these additions to Room Type.
I believe this simple request to add certain room types to the RTYP screen constitutes no danger to our Enrollment and Student Services functions.

Tim Lockett 4/24/08 : No problem from Planning & Construction.
Christina Drum 4/24/08: I see no problem with this.
Rick Storlie 1/24/08: The only concern I have is the field length.
Would it be possible to use two characters for each room type, rather than a mix between one and two characters?
I don't know of a specific conflict or issue in using the mix of 1 & 2 characters. I am only looking for consistency.

Jennifer McCarthy 4/24/08: Ideally, we would use the 5-digit code for room type that we use in Archibus, however SIS currently only allows for 2 characters for this field. I am hoping that once iNtegrate is implemented we will be able to provide this consistency. For now, I think the mix is workable and will allow for less changes to specific room data in SIS.
Jesse Zurschmeide 4/25/08: I took all the current RTYP from SIS and edited in changes and additions so we can see context.

We need to test the envelope now. Do you have examples of room types that are different that you plan use the new code for? I would like to give it a good run through to see how it looks on the SIS screens. In this way we can incrementally move forward with synchronizing.
If in accord with the Data Management Issue Resolution Process, the DG Council proposes we implement; we will go forward with the modifications.
Jennifer McCarthy 4/25/08: Can we make the following changes:
Keep AD for Auditorium but change the description to Auditorium - 150+ Seats
For Lecture Room, let's use LR instead. That will eliminate the duplicates.
The same may work for the SR instead of S for Seminar Room. Is there a way to get a list of the rooms currently listed as SR room type?
