Executive sponsors determined that this role would remain at the discretion of the Data Stewards to establish within their own area so that it can reflect the nature of each area most effectively. Data Administrators will still be formally acknowledged and their role conveyed so that they understand these responsibilities. Executive Sponsors will assist Data Stewards as necessary in establishing this organization that is key to their ability to accomplish their own designated tasks.

Under the this category of other individuals that the Data Steward will involve in managing data and data questions in each area are outside users who are involved with data. These people will become a part of the data administrator role, even though they have no direct reporting relationship in the organization managed by the data steward, and assembling them will be at the discretion of each steward.
