Collaboration - List of Proposed Collaboration Issues

Items that are considered Proposed have been brought to the Data Governance Council by a data steward for consideration, but have not at this time had an "owner" or a priority assigned.

Proposing Data Management Issues

You will use the submission form on the DGCouncil site to submit an issue for consideration. Once submitted, it will be e-mailed to the DGCouncil mail list.

The data steward experiencing a data problem needs to explain that problem to the best of their ability, with examples when possible, relevant to the problem as stated. Follow directions on the form to send any related attachments to be included as pat of the description of this issue.

It should be very specific to the issue, for example, if one of you were to bring to the group a proposal for establishing a new field on HR that identifies research faculty, you would bring forward what you  have on it, first of all establishing an institutional need, the definitions proposed, suggestions for how it might be collected and stored, in order to assist HR data steward with assessing impact and suggesting a resolution. This would NOT come from HR, typically.
