Data Governance Council Meeting

Wednesday, June 11, 10:00am – 11:00am

1. Deal codes - discussion and report on meeting – Christina Drum
The Deal Codes meeting helped to identify those who enter codes on SIS.  Participants at this meeting also established a process for communication when a new code is needed.  They also discussed that there will be a future need for more codes because of increased fees that were mandated by the Board of Regents, specifically in the Law school.

2. Data Cleanup Report – Jesse Zurschmeide
The Registrars office has implemented an imitative to clean-up SIS data for iNtegrate.  Currently 89 screens will have to be changed and it will take about one to one and half months to complete.

Measures of Success
We have been asked to identify quantifiable items that we can evaluate now, and then after project implementation.  Meeting on Friday – some of you involved – to discuss.

Earnest Phillips is organizing a committee to provide public communications regarding this project.  Robyn Render has provided these guidelines for us to follow:

5. Update on the NSHE data warehouse data dictionary - Paul Landrum
He is currently in the midst of a field review of 355 data warehouse fields.  So far there is a 40% direct match between proposed Data Warehouse and PeopleSoft with a possible 70% match once the review is complete.  One of the additional advantages of this review is that there will be more consistency with High School codes.
