2.– Updates on Data Governance Projects?
This month there were 2 new projects and 1 was “retired”.
Geetha Sendhil reported that for the First Generation Students project, she has been working with programmer on the logic of upload to SIS program.

3. – Documenting Business Processes - Jesse Zurschmeide
Jesse described work in the student area to document business processes in preparation for the iNtegrate project. Links to their website are available from the Data Governance site under button Data Integrity Procedures

The data governance website can provide space for, or links to, business process documentation for other data stewards who want to have their work stored. Just let Joi or Lynne know that you would like to do that.

4.– Data Users Group models were reviewed, and there was support for the student accounts contact list, which provides a lot of information about who and when outside contacts are needed.

5.– Internal “Experts” groups
This is not a group that will have a regular meeting, but rather individuals who will help on an as needed basis Most of you have identified you own internal group of experts that will be called upon when questions arise that require specific knowledge. Everyone else will keep working on this. Then a notice will be sent to those involved.

6.– Report to Executive Sponsors
We decided that the regular report sent to the Executive Sponsors from DGCouncil will be organized according to the official charge to this group from them. The a report adhering to this model will be issued this month, and we will solicit comments. Does that make the DGCouncil efforts easier to understand or not?
